Regardless of whether you enjoy gourmet cooking or campfire cookouts, the aesthetic of a solo stove on your deck or a cozy fire in your fireplace, camping or glamping, our 100% natural firewood is the best choice for cooking the food you'll enjoy and entertain with. All of our wood is kiln-dried for a minimum of 72 hours and exceeds heat treat standards for firewood, ensuring it's dry, clean, and free of mold and bugs, making it ideal for cooking. Moreover, it can safely cross state lines without the risk of carrying invasive insects that are detrimental to our ecosystems, making it perfect for storing in your home, camper, or cottage.

Our firewood is sourced from Northwest, Pennsylvania, through state foresters. This practice protects the forests and ensures a level of stewardship focused on long-term sustainability and a balance of healthy growing strata for the forests and wildlife. In addition to our firewood, our biomass-fueled kilns play an important role in sustainability. We are located in sawmill country, which produces an abundance of waste wood or cast-offs from lumber, and we recycle those into fuel, which in turn heats our wood-drying kilns. We don't believe in wasting wood!

When it comes to wood-fired cooking, most people don't immediately think of vegetables, but the reality is that wood-fired veggies are the best. Our food of choice, "Peetzee," is the inspiration for everything we do. We'd like to redefine the term "loaded potatoes" with our own version - mini potatoes cooked in garlic, onions, and green peppers, with the fat/oil of your choice, but hands down, bacon fat is the way to go.

Oak is the go-to choice for cooking wood. It is reliable and easy to use, with a neutral scent, burning hot and maintaining a great balance of flame and coals. Oak maintains its heat longer than other hardwoods, and our kiln-dried oak mini splits are easy to get started and quickly reach high temperatures. In our experience cooking in an Ooni Karu 16, it takes oak mini splits just 20 minutes to get the stone temperature from 0°F to 750°F. Oak's high heat value means its coals will retain their heat longer than other types of wood, easily reaching over 1000°F. This makes oak a great choice for cooking a wide range of foods, including poultry, pork, lamb, vegetables, and, of course, pizza.

Cherry is a great choice when you want to level up your entertaining. This aromatic, clean-burning wood delivers a lovely char on all the right edges and a red hue when used for cooking meat. It's a great choice when a slower cook time is desired, and it's particularly nice for cooking a ribeye, balancing the seared exterior with the desired doneness on the inside. Our drying process ensures our firewood can attain high temperatures in a short amount of time, with cherry easily reaching 800°F. Cherry is also great to blend with other hardwoods when you desire a lower cooking temperature while still maintaining the qualities of oak or hickory.

Hickory is the classic go-to when smoking meats, delivering rich and bold flavor. This energy-dense hardwood is more than capable of delivering and sustaining intense heat, with a solid bed of coals that lasts. Hickory has a great smell and flavor when used properly, and we recommend using it after some experience with oak or cherry. Hickory easily reaches over 1000°F, allowing for incredibly fast cooking times, such as a 1-inch New York strip steak reaching medium in just 3 minutes, or a 12-inch pizza cooking in 2 minutes. If you don't want it that hot, you can achieve longer cook times with lower temperatures through wood species selection and good fuel management.
